Helping grassroots sports clubs find funding

We know how tough it is out there currently for the hundreds and thousands of grassroots sports club and organisations that are vital on so many levels to those who use them and their local communities.

Below is a list of the latest funding opportunities for grassroots sports clubs, which we would encourage you to take a look at and apply for funding where appropriate!

Sported – Sported helps support community groups that run sessions in sport or physical activity for social outcomes. The charity keeps 2,600 youth groups afloat by providing free support with their fundraising, governance, training and administration. Membership to Sported’s network is free. View more here

Sport England – Sport England have their ‘Tackling Inequalities Fund’ open to application to help to reduce the negative impact of coronavirus and the widening of the inequalities in sport and physical activity. View more here.

Crowdfunder – Crowdfunder allows clubs to create one place for everyone to donate and reward your supporters. They have also waived all of our platform fees, meaning clubs keep more of the money they raise. They have almost £3 million in extra funding from Sport England and British Cycling to pledge up to £10,000 on sports projects during the pandemic, as well as a number of regional match-funding partners. UK Community Foundations – There are 46 accredited community foundations in the UK, covering all of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and most of England that are currently open to applications for their ‘National Emergencies Trust’ Fund. View more here.
