Nominate your Unsung Hero!

Do you know a superstar volunteer that has gone above and beyond to support their local community through sport over the past 12 months? Then why not nominate them for the Unsung Hero award – which we’re supporting!
The annual award, which is given as part of the BBC’s Sport Personality of The Year Awards, seeks out volunteers who have made a lasting impact on their community through sport and physical activity. Nominees must be 16 years or older.
It’s quick and easy to enter, and your entry could not only see your hero crowned on the night of the awards, but also get them and your group media coverage on local and national BBC TV, radio and online.
There will be 15 regional winners, and one of them will be crowned as the overall Unsung Hero. All regional winners will also be invited to attend the BBC’s prestigious Sports Personality of the Year ceremony on December 12th. The winner will be announced live on air on the evening.
Sophie Mason, Our CEO, commented: “We’re excited to be working in partnership with the Coalition and the BBC again to demonstrate how sport and physical activity are being used every day to positively impact communities and individuals in the greatest need.”
